On 2 occasions this year I’ve had to fill up with V Power as I use momentum usually. My local Tesco is refurbing the petrol station and has been for 2 months. Its controversial I know but I swear it’s more lumpy on idle and doesn’t pull as hard especially in 2nd on V Power. Only ever used V Power back in the day, swore by it but I can’t wait till they finish at Tescos.

Ive been Shell Optimax, Vpower etc for decades but now its E5 have moved over to Esso Synergy Supreme 99+ or whatever its called as its zero or as close as you can get to zero ethanol ( certainly LESS ethanol than Tecso or Sheel ) and my BDA and the Fook are loving it. ( I tried momentum once in the BDA and it didnt like it at all!) I noticed a lumpiness with it and ended up chasing a smooth idle with the mixture screws which didnt really achieve much ! £1.60 a litre….

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

When I got the FPM375, Mountune told me to use 97-99 RON. I did so, (usually TM) but honestly, I’ve never been able to tell a considerable difference be it, 95, 97 or 99 RON. That’s not to say the engine doesn’t benefit.

Nearest Tesco to me is 30 miles away. Local Shell 5 miles so V Power it is. They also sell Henry Westons vintage cider so no brainer

Have been using Tesco Momentum since Mountune installed the FPM375 several years ago, only because they suggested using a higher octane. No issues and always fill to the first click!

been using Momentum since it was launched in subarus,evos,c63,focus rs and its been great. Think it performed v well v shell v power in back to back tests and way better than all the others. If you want ethanol free esso super in the midlands and south of england ex fawley refinery is the one to go for.

It’s getting damn expensive almost £8 a gallon I have revised which car I take on holiday due to the recent price increase. Will be doing about 1000 miles in eight days.

I’m about 1000 miles a month and that’s a full tank each week. Probably about £75 ish a week now. I did buy a diesel car for work but went it back because I didn’t like the steering feel
