Things to look for on delivery inspection

Hi folks

Just joined, pick up my new RS up tomorrow from the dealers (much excitement ?)

Was just wondering what I should be looking out for apart from the obvious  (ie paintwork damage)

Some people get a wonky petrol flap! RS key Fobs not standard.

Check your oil and coolant levels and then check them every week. Just a precautionary thing.

Take a tyre pressure gauge fronts should be 41psi and the rears 38psi. PDI is notorious for not checking these ?

Those tyre pressures seem quite high bobcat is that for same for both wheel options?

Obvious but remember to take time to check for scratches, dings, even paint runs etc.

What I did on collecting made sure it was my spec checked wheels for marks damage had a good look round body check under front valance for scrapes from transporter unloading open up tail gait check under rear mat boot area open bonnet check oil water levels on level ground . inside car have general look round operate a few switches check trim ok floor mats fitted get salesman to work Satnav sync your phone also make sure fuel gauge reads full then when happy I payed him .plus check what the other guys said happy motoring

I went to sign for mine yesterday pick up next week, filler cap was the one that jumped out that needs sorting. I didn’t see the keys what key fobs should I be getting then.

Check the inside of your wheels, when I gave mines its first wash I found that 3 wheels was smooth on the inside and 1 felt Rough, like it wasn’t lacquered.

Took it straight to ford and had to wait 2 months for delivery for new one.
