Have a few more bits of info on this system, as mentioned it has been developed on the latest MT 520 bhp tune, hence doesn’t have any flow or back pressure issue up to and beyond those heady heights. (it’s fitted to the white demo car)
The flap (which the company supplies many OEMs with including the RS) is actually on the other side, with a supplied extension lead. Reason is it allows better straight through flow when the flap is open, giving lower back pressure than the stock side.
It uses the same OEM “cut point” for joining centre pipe. Doesn’t need a centre box, so a straight through pipe is okay. It’s designed to be drone free and civil in normal use but WOT with the flap open it lets rip. Hence there was no need to do a centre section in Ti, it would have been very expensive and not suitable for the direct heat from the CAT and offered little or no gains.
It’s designed by some the same people who have developed various JLR SVR systems, I’m in contact with the designer, so any question or feedback let me know and I’ll see what I can find out.
