accolade, the rears DO rotate faster than the fronts*, by about 1.8% , its not achieved by the rdu being oversped from the PTU, it is simply that the gearing in the rdu is SLIGHTLY taller than the front diff gearing, Ford have done this to give the car a slightly RWD feel so the 1.8 % overspeed does have an effect.
*when you are giving it the beans and rdu clutch packs are in full 100% clamping ( like what you would expect on full bore acceleration or dyno pull)
No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob.
Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.
I can see this thread is going to cause arguments for some unknown reason.
I agree what you say, the drive to the rear RDU is over geared compared to the front, I said that. This is how the car can feel RWD bias and do it’s trick drift mode.
But I said the rear wheels don’t run faster than the fronts (normally, maybe I missed that crucial statement) otherwise they would be spinning all the time.
The clutch packs adjust the TQ to each of the rears when needed, when not needed the rears are free rolling.
On a linked Dyno, with the operator knowing what they are doing you can Dyno the RS in 4WD mode and accurately, as I said we ran a stick, FPM375 and my then M380 tunes car on the same day and they all made the statues figures within tolerance of error.
not sure why hammy went off on one, maybe a bad day which we can all have.
