    @brembo, yep some metal knobs gets pretty toasty especially if its been baking under the sun.

    San Diego County got 45C today. Better be wearing driving gloves.

    It never really gets too hot for a prolonged period here in Scotland. If it is left in the sun I dare say any metal in the car could get pretty hot. The one I was looking at has a copypolymer coating (same as cosmic Charlie’s)

    @cosmic-charlie

    Thanks for the feedback mate, appreciate it. The other option I have is my father in law lives in Dallas TX. I could get it sent to him then he could post it over. May work out cheaper that way possibly.

    I am the same when I’m home mate. Doing around 100-200 miles each time but only gets used for a bit of fun so gear knob needs to be functional.

    You at home or away the now mate?

    Feel like the standard one is pretty lightweight and could have been better.

    I’ll be back in touch with Chris, the chap that makes them and let you know how I get on. He says he is flat out at the moment so lead time is maxed out.

    I had the SStuning big knob for the first 18 months, then fancied a change , so went to the Ford Performance one, love the feel of it, the SSt one was a wee bit chunky for my delicate little handies

    No nothing.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?
