557 bhp map so to achieve this on the standard ECU do you have to run Meth / Oct booster all the time or is it running a flex fuel sensor so one map knows what fuels being used.
Using the Factory ECU one map has to suit all driving conditions from going to the shops to blasting around Donington.
You should have an excited blast coming home ?

No different map for 557
this can be uploaded with the box though so not bad.
the 530 is a 99 octane and an octane booster, this was just a trial to see what we see with meth, thats the figure I’m hoping for when I’ve installed my aquamist kit and the map which will be run daily.
for now il just have my 99 Oct map which still should be good compared to the last map I ran
I have asked about map switching in the drive modes which he does do so we will see if it is possible to have race fuel in my 5th drive mode
il report back when I pick it up at lunchtime

You might need a bigger turbo that ones rated at 550, you don’t really want to be ringing it’s neck
So how was the pick up and drive out comparing it the the Mountune M520.

It’s very different
Power delivery is very linear and it pulls and pulls and pulls and then you shut yourself and let off before you get the the rev limiter
totally different animal now
the power is so crisp clean savage it feels like a 500 ho car now

Sounds good mate… ? Reading between the lines then, the MT520 is not really 520?? or struggles with the set up??
The mapping on M520 is dog shit
the Hardware is good, that being said if you are looking for more power in the future or think il buy M520 and get 520+ bhp from the set up you won’t . Unless meth or race fuel is used
as said above the turbo is rated to 550 HP
at first I was shocked to see a product from Mountune be at its limits from one of their packages, however when you look into it ,go to a custom tune it’s a fine line of having response or big power , this isn’t a bad set up now it’s mapped properly the driveability is insane I love it again, it pulls so damn hard up that rev range I can’t wait to go to pure ford to see what it can do and how it fairs up against the other cars

Mine made 522.5 once ! On the Mountune map
thats great you say, ……. is it? 6200 rpm -6300 rpm is where it made 522.5 for a split second it peaked on the dyno graph like a little triangle spike of power not useable
I’ve have never got anywhere near the quoted 513lbft (700nm)
instead 420-474lbft is the common output but again it’s not just about the peak figures it’s where it makes that power and when and how long for and now mine is significantly different to drive response is the best it’s ever been and delivery I keep going on about it even now it’s just epic I’m still buzzing from driving it ?

You shouldn’t be that surprised on Mountune running to the limits on the M520 map.
On that M520 map their are 3 items either nearly at their limit or running past their limit
Firstly the injectors are being forced way past their limit with that awesome fuel pump that comes in the kit.
The Head simply wasn’t designed to flow that much it starts to become a bottle neck trying to flow that much air, but with a tweak or two it can flow masses of air.
The turbo nearly at the upper end but a good compromise for their intended product, but still rather to close to max for me.

There is loads of scope with the fuelling
that’s one thing there is definitely no problem with my tuner said
650-700 shouldn’t be a problem but then he may have been talking about the pump not the injectors? ??♂️?♂️ I’d have to double check ?
I have started to look at head work about a month ago I use John fog well motor engineers to do porting etc (been great in the past) and as he is a keen competition driver all helps being interested in this stuff
i have contemplated buying a head off of eBay and getting the work done to it then swapping over once ready
that’s all pie in the sky for me now as I am waiting in this meth kit is like to nail that first and run for a year or two before going into head work etc but you know how these projects go
