My st was mapped and exhaust intercooler ect felt the same as the rs until 4th to 6th where the rs just keeps on going and goes round corners like a scalextric car with the 375 kit,
I came from a standard st3 to a standard rs and yes theres certain areas in speed through the gears where there close but u would have to back off in the st so you would pull away quite easily. Besides its not all about speed its a special feeling being in the rs and every st you pass drools over it
