Hi ALL!
Brand new here and awaiting the delivery of my 09/2017, 11,200k, Nitrous full lux-pack (sunroof, forged, d/protectors, h/swheel, h/seats, etc etc & Mountune air tube + filter & Ghost immobiliser fitted) variant, later this week and right now, can’t wait!!
Have already begun acquiring various “bits” (Ford carbon RS gearknob & RS mudflaps) for it, as you do, with a few more planned around both performance and styling, once I actually get to have my greasy mitts on it! Easily the most I’ve ever spent on a car purchase, but having watched a ton of vids, I think I’m in for some exciting drives and should be well worth it.
All my previous cars have been Fords and have included; Mk3 & 4 XR3i’s, Mk4 RS Turbo, ’92 RS 2000, later upgraded to look like a Cozzie (good enough to foil the RS Owner’s website when they nicked the photo (without permission) for their main pic back in the day, ha!) and lastly an Escort Cosworth Lux’ ’94 T25 small turbo (no mods except for brand new Mongoose with sports Cat, K&N & upgraded discs) Mallard with leathers, owned since ’99. It amazingly has 190k on the clock, and is now currently away for full restoration – engine, g/box, diffs rebuilds, along with a load of exterior and underside “tidying-up”, replacing and painting to do. The best car I’ve driven, so the Focus RS has a lot to prove, LOL. 😉
