The other site is rife with gossip that Ford will pressure test all HGs and then replace them all. Some will also need a new head if they fail the pressure test. And this will be done on all RSs up to June 2017. Announcement any time now. At least that’s  what some say!

Sorry, I don’t read minds, only posts. Try reading what you write before you post. If you ask a question, don’t be surprised if someone provides an answer. Not rocket science!

HI has anyone had there car in for a pressure test and a gasket replacement/head gasket also,my car is booked in for a pressure test next week,do they pressure test it first then order the parts and then you have to take the car back or will they have the parts in stock do you think?

So far it would appear that you take your car in they pressure test it to see what is needed and then order what is required.

Nope – mine was only booked in when the dealer obtained the necessary parts. It’s being done as I write this. It passed the pressure test so is only getting a new HG. Pick it up tomorrow.

has there been any success storys with earlier models having already had there gasket changed? surely ford have to fix this properly and can’t to a bodge job to get u out of warranty, surely if the problem occurs when out of warranty you have got some comeback on ford, because if it happens again with new gasket on it has to be a flaw in the design of the engine??
