Ooohh!! Very nice indeed mate!! Nothing better than fitting loads of new stuff to your Motor!! I’d love some big new front brakes but my car sits idle for 3 weeks at a time outside in all weather when I’m away at work and just don’t know how they’d last, especially over the winter months??!!

What size are your front Discs??

    Cheers, Marc.

Front Discs are the AP 32mm x 362mm I opted for the GGR set-up.

Which aren’t as big as the 380 Reyland disc setup but the AP discs give a bigger braking surface area so you gain with one and lose with the other ?

Thanks for sharing, white-rs2. I see, you’re a serious master mechanic here, respect! ???

If I understood you correctly you have the tractive suspension components from DSC Sport. Are you going to tweak the map on your DSC controller yourself or was it preloaded by 9designs? What do you expect and how are you going to test it? How much altogether and is it street legal?

Hi Frenk,  perhaps I can jump in here,  yep I supplied the damper kit, it is the full damper and spring set up developed between DSC Sport and Tractive.

Street legal and ready.  Height adjustable front and rear, controlled by the DSC Module.   The Module gets reflashed with new maps to suit the new dampers. They and the software I either send out or can be downloaded from the DSC website.   Custom maps can be created and loaded as the user wants.    Any questions it’s best to mail me direct.

I’ve had the AP setups on all my previous Ford RS and never had any faults with them.

Out of all the conversion I’ve done I guess the best results I ever had, where the ones I had made up for the Escort (Series 2) RS Turbo, you could virtually stand it on its nose and brake So much later; AP awesome braking system.

Just changing from the Brembo to AP Calipers has reduced the unsprung weight each side by a couple of KG’s big bonus.

Hsppy as a pig in shite ?

Nice mate!! The Brakes look good!! Can’t wait to hear how the suspension is?? You’ve got so many things happening at once….. bigger/lighter brakes, Tractive Dampers and Springs, front and rear Anti-Roll Bars, DSC Box!!

I have 2 questions:- Are you fitting different Anti-Roll Bar Links?? And is the location of the bracket for the Front A/R/B Link upper ball joint on the Tractive Strut adjustable??

    Cheers, Marc.

    @Brembo Marc

No links at this time need a little compliance in the set up, even the rear ARB is on soft setting (first hole). If I do go F&R ARB links going to use Pro Sport blue and not Whiteline.

    and

Yes. We will set them when we level the suspension. Currently set factory.
One front strut needed that part removing and turning round (was on wrong way)

Cool!! Do you foresee quite a bit of testing and adjusting? At least you don’t have to mess around adjusting the Shocks with that set up, unlike some of the Shocks on the market just now!!

    Cheers, Marc.
