Love the Fiat 500 ! funny when I did my apprenticeship on them , I hated the 500 and 126, then years later as a car dealer loved them ! You find yourself laughing all the time in one, was a great ice-breaker for a first date with a bird as it always made them laugh and you were literally rubbing shoulders with them and the seats would go full recline at the slightest opportunity!

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

When I left FIATs in 1983 i got a job in a backstreet garage, it was quite a culture shock from the clean modern FIAT UK headquarters workshop working on brand new cars, my first job was a brake master cylinder on a Moggy 1000, I couldnt believe the state of it, the cylinder was under the floor in the chassis rail or something, then I had to weld up a  front rod to the chassis which was totally rotten, had enough of it after a year and went back to a main dealer !

Love the 500. Local Italian ice cream shop here used to have one branded up. Always a head turner

Have a Porsche specialist round the corner. Been testing a lot of this sort of stuff lately. Most of them are shiny on top but not so good underneath. This was one of the better ones.

What a motor. Youd think a car of this sort of caliber would be looked after.

Surprised at the Porsche’s being rough underneath. Do you get to drive any of these on the road at all?
