I was about to ask, is that a mark 3 escort RS1600i, then I realised your user name – doh!

My brother had one of those in white. He told me the 4 digit code to start it (early version of a ghost I guess). I never forgot that number – I held it in memory for about 10 years until I was 17 and able to drive. He tossed me the keys and said go on then, take it for a spin, thinking I wouldn’t be able to start it.

He shite his pants when I drove his pride and joy off the car park.

Do I win? I have my NB RS and my wife has a 2013 KA, bottom of the range 1.2 with wind down windows, no central locking and the interior light only comes on when you open the drivers door!

My mrs’s CMax Titanium. Love it. So comfortable. Got all the options on it. Best of all that 1l 3 cyl’r 6 speed combo does 50+ mpg. Even better on a run. Then, if I need to put crap in the boot, it saves using the RS!

Grunty Motor, KH is a 1976 400, half way through a restoration, had a 250 at 18, 400s no quicker than the 250 but was up at a good price. Would love a 750 but looking at £6k upwards for a starting point, have seen them at almost £20k restored though!
