Well I drove across to Suffolk at the weekend, along the A14, where they are redoing a stretch between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket. The contra flow had us use part they have done, it was already sunken in places, bumpy and uneven, worse than the stretch back at Huntington.
I also drive in Eastern Europe, where it’s -30 in the winter and +40 in the summer, roads are far far better, yes some have bill boards saying funded by European Funding….. Perhaps we also sent home all our road builders!?!?! ….. As clearly the Eastern Europeans were doing a better job when they were here, along with all the other jobs we didn’t want to do.
