    How do get V2.3 on there? I have done the auto update through wifi and just says last check today but no V2.3? Anyway of getting it on USB stick?

    Apple have a problem with the latest update and sync 3(apple 11.2.5) and are working on a fix according to Fordpass.

    Apple have released 11.2.6 one of the fixes for 3rd party apps to work with Apple CarPlay haven’t tried as yet but I didn’t have a problem with mine in first place

    I had the same situation as you…you have to take the RS into Ford dealer service.  They’ll replace some components, including the armrest usb jack.  Cost me $150, but CarPlay works fine now.  That fee also included a firmware update for Android/CarPlay.  Auburn Ford did mine.

    Turn off your iphone bluetooth and erase the iphone from car sync.

     

    thats the solution

     

    turn off car wifi too.

    Appreciate this is an old thread but, having just picked up a 17 plate RS I’m having this issue where my system just crashes and locks up with CarPlay.

    went back to the dealership yesterday where they carried out a diagnostic check and tried to tell me the phone was at fault. Of course I explained I’d tried 2 different model iPhones and eve tried new cables. The dealership says it’s at a loss and has no idea.

     

    would be grateful for any thoughts.

    Mine sometimes doesn’t like the phone, but I find a quick reboot (of the iPhone) solves it.
