So this valve on the exhaust,when does it actually open with the stock exhaust.?

It opens on start up until the start cycle is over then will close and stay closed if left in normal. Once in sport or track it stays open. With the j9 controller you can open close any time you like.

I used Milltek on mine (used to be same as Mountune – not sure now though). I would also look at Dreamscience as hear nothing but good words from them.

I dont know about a standard Tune, but that valve does open frequently on FPM375 and DS tunes even in Normal mode.

I am an old fucker (51) and my definition of loud could be well different from others!!!

I’m no expert but by closing the valve with the J9 before the 30-40 sec cold start, won’t this restrict emissions during this cycle and potentially coke up the exhaust valves? Just interested in the thoughts from our experts before buying a J9 valve controller.

I think most places order them straight from scorpion so be prepared to wait. Think it took 4 weeks for mine to arrive.
