When cruising along the motorway (at 80mph/130kph) how far do you guys get on a tank  ~350m/550km?  Just trying to plan my pit-stops 🙂

Mine averages 21mpg.  I clearly drive it with more gusto than most – which is as it should be, imho.

Sounds like we have a lot of miss daisy pants on the forum.  LOL.

Only messing.  Well, at least a little bit.

Had car 10 months   1800 miles, run gently first 1000 miles had a 100 mile trip averaged 32 Mpg kept under 4000 RPM

Now used mainly 3 mile commute in town traffic average 20 mpg , not a good town car for MPG.

as Ryan says “she’s always thirsty”

Guys, I really was asking specifically for when on a long cruise on the motorway.  I’ve got 900 miles to cover in two days, so at 28mpg that’s 6.16 mpl x 51 litres = 314 miles per tank.  So looks rather dicey to do it in 3 legs … right I’ll plan for 4 then, cheers.

If you’re worried about fuel, you shouldn’t have bought an RS haha

I did a 400 mile round trip from one tank – averaged 34mpg, but had to resist the urge to put my foot down, as when you are getting towards the end of the tank, a quick burst away from the lights will have an immediate impact on your ‘miles to empty’.

I was cruising at 70 mph for a majority of the journey.

I do 5 miles twice a day to work and back and get 23mpg.

I did a trip of 250 miles to Dorking and back and got 34mpg with the odd hard acceleration in 3rd.

Daily-driver . Always drive with “sport” on – the best I can get on normal stop-start runs is 21 mpg.  Managed 30 mpg on a 400 mile motorway round trip
