    I’ve had my feed pipe replaced but still had an oil leak afterwards, turned out it was the camchain side cover, if you had a recall done early you will prob get a leak as they changed the procedure on how to apply the sealant to it

    Well in December they replaced the two washers on the banjo bolt, found last Sunday removed under tray to find oil leak worse than before just picked her back up today and they have replaced the oil feed pipe new banjo bolt and two new crush washers will take the under tray down when its done a few more miles. Also noticed that last time they didn’t refit the two plastic plugs that are part of the of fixing the under tray so told them they had not refitted them and hey presto two new fixings attached. They did 10 miles on test run and 15 mins of idling.

    @Hammy

    Its very frustrating especially when they discard fixings. I will always check their handy work.

    Have to agree with crocket81 comment previously re camchain cover amended procedure based on my own experience of the HG issue. My HG was changed in October 2018 by Haynes Maidstone at around 7000 miles. They had already changed the HG on  approximately 80 cars prior to mine all done by Mark their senior mechanic. My car had its 2nd service a few days ago at around 9,800 by TrustFord which includes a video health check of the underside with the under-tray and wheels removed. Video shows clean underside with no sign of any leaks from oil seals or gaskets. Happy days and thanks to Mark, top man!

    This is looking like its a common fault, I am interested to know if there are any leaks after the build cut off where cars were fitted with the correct H/G out of the box. If there are none reported then its all down to FSA work and there for should be put right outside warranty.

    Took my RS into Ford last week to fix an Oil Leak and at first they said it was a leaky seal around the oil filter so they replace it and topped it back up with oil. But when driving home I notice a noise coming from the engine which wasn’t there before? Did a quick U turn and drove it straight back so the engineer could hear it. He said it sound like the bottom end has gone. After a few days I got a call saying the engine needs to be replaced :'(

    Mine already had the HG done last year so not sure what happened. Why are these failing so much?

    I have had the same issue since head gasket was replaced .

    they have taken it in 3 times and it still leaks, washers, pipe and banjo replaced and still it weeps

    really disappointed in Ford NZ they just don’t seem to care till you make lots of noise about it.
