And the postman arrived with a nicely boxed present.

As a once respected Aussie turned PEDO once said –

“ Can you guess what it is yet ??”

Well that’s it for this year can’t fit or map it to the car until next year grrrrr budget gone.

As the cars all setup now to the Litchfield map and I’ve done a few power runs on the Cobb and Litchfield came up with the goods. All the suspension settings are now dialled in and had the Hunters alignment redone.

All part of the preparation for a week at The Ring, The Green Hell, The Nurburgring. And on the return we have booked a half day at SPA with Circuit Days Track Days ?

Just read your thread, thanks for posting what you’ve done as others will benefit from this. My car is standard at the moment but thinking of going to 400bhp as it does feel it runs out of puff higher up

A friend of mine had a cosworth powered MK2 escort years ago, we even went to the nurburgring a few times, Andy Moggridge.

Shame about parting with the escort, I have a saphh 4×4 in smokestone

    @Pualie

Thanks for taking the time to read ?

Why does that name sound so familiar???

Andy Moggridge ?? Anything to do with the RSOC ? But why do I recognise that name.

To be honest I’m actually looking forward to SPA more than the Ring.

    But the Rings a bucket list <span style=”-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”>✔️ lol</span>

Yeah he was in the RSOC many moons ago, last bumped into him about 10 years ago at national day. I think he was one of the first people apart from Paul bailey etc. to put a cossie engine in a mk2 escort FMC555V was his registration, nickname Maddog.

I’ve been to spa once funnily enough with Andy but not driven it, I feel lucky I ticked th nurburgring off before the Clarkson top gear episode as it seemed a lot busier after that

Did he put in an expensive (can’t remember the name) digital dash into his Mk2 ?

Then sold it for a Frog eye Subaru or am I barking up the proverbial wrong tree lol

That’s him, he went deep into the Subaru with modifying but it was a weapon out there. I went out in his MK2 too which was around 350bhp at the time and it felt a different level to my 270bhp 2wd saphh

My Mk2 went to a Welsh Farmer Mike. Who then set about de-tuning it to 350bhp.

He’s Now running the T34/35 which I sold with the car and a set of Greens with an Armad Bayjoo (spelling questionable) lol ECU I had on the shelf and gave him as a spare.

Armed Bayjoo (spelling questionable) he was the man back in the day on mappings the Cosworth ?

After reading some good articles from tuning companies (non UK) such as Adam+ & Stratified both come to the conclusion that the OEM cams are perfect upto 500hp giving very good results and drivability.

Seems Ford got something spot on then ?
