    @Brembo

Evening mate!! So you’re getting the Internals done at Mountune then off to Litchfield for the Stage 2 Map. I have a couple of questions as usual, lol!!

Have you ordered the Pistons, Conrods and ARP Studs yourself and are getting Mountune to fit them?? No I ordered them from Mountune and they aren’t fitting. If so, where from??  Just asking coz the pics look like you’ve ordered the parts yourself?? Also, how are you getting 501BHP?? 501 is another goal to achieve the turbo is on it limits at around 450 I’ve been informed and fuelling a little higher up. Is this from a Custom Map by Litchfield Yes a custom map specific to the car hoping to see as much BHP as the mods will allow leaving it drivable as a daily or will you be running the same Stage 2 Map as me but you’ll have it tweaked on their Dyno so will have around 415/420BHP?? And finally, why did you have to get 2 x new Tractive rear Springs?? As per 9Designs answer.

I hope in time, to get 500WHP, so probably about 580BHP at Crank. Will you need to upgrade your Intake Manifold?? If necessary a Norris Designs Swedish style inlet manifold.  I know you have the cast Mountune one already, will that suffice?? As per the Mountune inlet manifold being man enough good question and time will tell. Are you expecting to get around 575BHP from 4 single injectors (just making them bigger with upgraded Fuel Pump) The aim would be The DeatschWerks HDEV1700 which is a drop-in fitment for the Mk3 Focus RS rather than an Aux set up?? But this may be required. It would be great if you could achieve 575BHP using larger Injectors and standard ECU with  custom map, I don’t really want to run an aftermarket ECU such as Syvecs larger Turbo and upgraded Cylinder Head with Cams!! .

Also, will you be strengthening the Block if your gonna be getting close too 600BHP next year?? Blocks are good. From what I’ve read and I’ve read loads on it, its mainly down to the head gasket issue that in severe cases the blocks cracked with lock-up. As we haven’t heard of the Block cracking issue since the Head Gasket changes seems to sum it up really, as otherwise we’d still be hearing of it. I have put in a Norris Designs Deck brace just in case. And I’m sure I’ve asked you before, but at what point will you upgrade the Clutch and have you decided on one yet?? The clutch has been reported as reliable up-to 500bhp. So when slip becomes an issue it’ll be in for a change.

Sorry for all the questions mate, just intrigued with all this!! .

Have you thought about Devil Developments for the Cylinder Head work?? I’ve actually asked them for a quote on head work to Race spec with the valve guide put in after all the machining is completed, as you don’t want to be changing valves every 2000 -2500 miles, before their heads fall off. With Piper BP285T cams & duplex springs

Right, I’m done for now mate!! Haha!! .

    Cheers, Marc.

    Morning mate!!

So are Ford fitting the Pistons and Conrods?? Those Conrods look nice n beefy.

What kind of Head Gasket have you installed??

Are you hoping to get 450BHP from the Litchfield Custom Tune??

I’ve read about HDEV 1700 Injectors – Hopefully they’ll do the job!!

Good choice with the Norris Deck Brace!! Are you expecting it to affect the Engine Cooling Temp at all?

I think the Clutch will be ok up to 450 – 500BHP, if like me, you’ve never launched the car. But anything more and I don’t think it’ll last!!

So are you running the Engine in at the moment then into Litchfield tomorrow??

Hope it’s all going to plan!!

    Cheers, Marc.

Morning mate!! Looking good!! Who’s doing the Engine work for you??

I remember a while back somebody was asking about the Knock Sensor on the RS and I explained that it has 2 x Knock Sensors. That second photo clearly shows the Knock Sensors either side of the Mountune Breather Plate for anyone who is interested!!

    Cheers, Marc.

    Cheers Bobcat ?

The car is now back on OEM front lower arms and bushes and the Powerflex bushes and Ford arms are on the shelf.

With lowering the car (in the first picture of the front wheel) you can see the camber gain as the tyre tilts inside the arch, this is just running a tad lower nothing ridiculous.

The rear is now lower this was only possible with the new Tractive (Eibach Springs) in a similar vain as to height between rubber and arch, being only 5mm lower at the front now than the rear.

Hopefully keeping a bit of the Ford rear end playfulness as designed.
