    mmmm lovely Neil, thats exactly what I fancy ! Ideally as a rolling shell so I can build a nice 2.2BDG or a little short stroker for it !!

    No nothing.

    No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

    Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

    Very nice, my mum has a Silverstone blue one although it’s a hardtop convertible. They can fairly shift and very well screwed together cars as all the German marque are.

    A very nice problem to have deciding between that or the RS for a sunny afternoon blast.

    Have you done a cosworth conversion on a MK1 or MK2 escort before?

    It’s the first that me and my dad have done. Purchased the engine from a chap in Wales who had it fitted in a MK1 escort. So it had pretty much everything needed already. Only concern is the engine management/wiring loom. Looks in pretty poor state as most of them do so not sure whether to bite the bullet and buy a new loom.

    I don’t see any RS’s at John Travolta’s pad! He’s probably got some old escorts out of sight though…..

    @mexicoian

    Seems like you are well versed in YB’ing escorts! Might end up giving you a shout if I get stuck with anything. You wouldn’t happen to have any spares knocking about that you would be willing to sell would you? I’m short of a few hoses and a decent wiring loom. Probably some other stuff aswell.
