Just fitted my paintmodz aerial and I’m really pleased with how it look’s. Took 5 min to fit, a must have imo!

Nice fin ! hows the radio reception?

    No nothing.

No Mods. No rockers. Just a chunky knob, thats now been replaced by an RS knob innit.

    No tackiness.

Std as Ford intended, but with a space saver wheel and jack and nuts and wheel brace. oh.. and flaps, a man has got to have flaps.

    Innit?

See this post and the next 4 or so after it:

    Ford Sports Aerial

Seems the ford sports aerial is not living up to expectations and we have a discussion about the shark fin performance.

@Hammy – when I was chatting to a tech in Ford Brum he mentioned that the DAB aerial was in the dash as opposed to the roof aerial so should be unaffected (assuming he’s right of course!)

Always wondered about the location of the DAB aerial. On MK3 ST they were in the rear quarter window (I had one without privacy so could quite easily see the elements embedded in the glass).

My DAB drop outs have gone (I could predict them exactly on my journey to and from work) since changing from the whip to the fin. I wonder whether the Ford tech got confused between DAB aerial location and WIFI pick-up?

The folks complaining about DAB reception problems since fitting the sports aerial would suggest the DAB aerials and AM/FM are all through the roof aerial.
