A CORNUCOPIA OF VEHICULAR HISTORICAL TIMELINES

Wow some impressive lists, brings back a few memories of my old cars. Here is my list, starting with first in 1982 when at 17 passed my test. In fact I was sitting in this 1st car parked up off the road imagining what it would be like when I got my licence.

Triumph Dolomite 1500hl, Ford Cortina 1600E, Lada Riva (Now no comments – it was a heap), Ford Capri 1.6GL, Vauxhall Astra 1.3, Vauxhall Astra Black Astra GTE MK1 (Great car, loved the recaro seats), White Vauxhall Astra SRI MK2, Vauxhall Cavaliers x2, Ford Sierra 1.8, Vauxhall Vectra 120SRI, Vauxhall Vectra 150SRI, Ford Focus 2.0ESP, Vauxhall Corsa 1.4SRI, Ford Mondeo ST220, Ford Focus ST2 Mk2, Ford Focus RS Mk2 (great car and should never have got rid off – still regret to this day, I wont make same mistake twice but if I had the money I would get a MK2 in heartbeat again as a second car without any doubts, Ford Focus MK3 ST3 250, Vauxhall Astra VXR (2014), Ford Focus ST TDCI, Mercedes Benz a250 AMG premium, BMW 320D M sport and now Focus RS MK3 in NB (which wont be going anywhere now, this the keeper and my aim probably within the next 2 years to just get a second car to run back and forth from work).

My history is not that rich as many, but sharing it with joy 🙂

1999 – 2000 Vauxhall Nova 1.3 SR MY89 (had for 1 year then wanted an Escort RS Turbo or Astra GTE)

2000 – 2002 Vauxhall Nova 1.6 GSi MY91 (the insurance ended my dreams so went with another Nova)

2002 – 2005 Vauxhall Nova 1.6 SR MY91 (due to a rusty GSi I swapped the GSi engine interior and running gear into a 1.4 SR)

2005 – 2005 Rover 200 SDi MY98 (stop over whilst stripping the Nova and saving for…)

2005 – 2007 Nissan 200SX S14a MY99 (absolutely love this car even if it was green)

2007 – 2007 Seat Arosa 1.4 Salsa MY89 (stop over whilst looking for…)

2007 – 2018 Fiat Coupe 20VT MY99 (nearly cried when I parted with my Coupe, that was a miserable day)

2018 – …….. Focus RS mk3 (however 2 days later I collected this)

 

Up until 2018 I hadn’t owned a car that was made in the ‘new’ millennium.
