TUNE+ Exhaust Valve Defeat Plug for 2016+ Ford Focus RS

Cheers trex, thats a great solution for keeping the electronics happy,  how would you keep the valve on the standard exhaust open without damaging of modifying it so as to have full noise in all selected modes, any ideas welcome

Tried to order one from Grimmspeed @ $25  nice price, then put in my details and got to shipping costs, BANG!!! $90 I thought they were sending this tiny item from Earth but Gimmspeed must have there address wrong, Mars would cost less, take it Gimmspeed don’t want to export, rediculouse ?

As above, you can buy a module to fool the car into thinking the motor is still connected. No one in the UK sells it specifically for the RS as yet, BUT the motor and valve is the same system that you’ll find on the MK7 Golf R. There is a seller on Ebay, VW international I think that sells the modules for the R, they come in pairs as the Golf has two valves. These do work as I have one on my car.

I’m about to order one but can someone explain the flap position, do you move it to the open position by hand and does it remain open, plus has anyone noticed any performance issues, as Ford claim the flap not only reduces noise but helps back pressure at certain speeds, think that’s bull but proof is in the pudding, it’s the extra noise in all modes I want, plus smoking from both pipes all the time, always looks crap on a cold morning when gases come from one only, thoughts please

No performance issues here. You can either unplug the motor whilst the valve is open, or remove the motor with an 8mm socket and turn the valve yourself, careful you don’t lose the spring.

Unplugging whilst open sounds a good idea, hope it doesn’t throw up a fault code though, ordering one now, great advice, thanks Benkhana
