Bloody Nora, I thought I dodged a bullet last March when I got through Covid !  Had my first vaccine March 24th this year and was due to have second dose Monday just gone. Was feeling so rough ( with extreme hayfever sort of symptoms) I thought sod having the jab when I feel this rough as I will only feel worse the next day after the jab. Things got worse with chest infection symptoms on Tuesday the doc got me some 500 amoxycillins and said I should book a covid test just to rule that out as I had a temperature as well. Bugger me  its got Indian written all over it. Hopefully it doesnt get any worse ! Cheers

Hope you feel better soon. Not sure what to make of you having had the first jab and still getting it 🤔 Our small market town has made the news for the Indian variant being rife and they were doing house calls for testing on Monday.  We’ve been on holiday this week and I told my hubby under no circumstances to answer the door!!

He’s been WFH for over a year, we’ve been really careful with our socialising, have both had both jabs and have no direct connection to the schools that are spreading it. Not exposing ourselves to the potential of self isolating however selfish that sounds (hubby did an antibody test for a national research company before 2nd jab that was negative too).

Life must get back to a new ‘normal’.

Turbo, cheers, I think it must be from all the young bucks in the gym, they were sanitizing barbells etc when they had finished with them, and no masks in sight which I thought was ridiculous everyone huffing and puffin etc.  Funny thing about a week ago the little knobby bit in the corner of my left eye went all funny and doubled in size and I got an angry eye for a few days, I may have unwittingly rubbed my eye and thats where the cov got in ! Only a wild theory ! Doc says my lungs sound crunchy, Ive had the squitts, felt like vomming, red hot, and kidney areas feel like Mike Tysons been using the area for target practice. Cant lay down for long, then I end up walking round the house all through the nite like a weary zombie ! Hey ho.

Thanks Paul, Funny I did somehow come across a bit of porn while researching Cov, it nearly made me throw up this morning !

Ergo, the jab doesnt stop you getting symptoms, its just that having the two reduces significantly the chances of needing hospital treatment, one is supposed to reduce that too, but probably a lot less than full 2 jabs. Right back to bed for me ciao

All these variants just shows how easy it has now become to catch Covid, it just shows how life can change in the blink of an eye , I for one will now be embracing every minute of every day because you just don’t know, and so many people will not that choice because of this terrible pandemic.
