Spoiler alert

yes just my spoiler it’s now Matt laquered and is now definitely the finish I was looking for in terms of sheen

the actual finished is only to be desired by me and not any professional paint sprayer 🤣🤣😘

after having painted it once the sparkly bits were great bit the gin finish was terrible I opted for my normal paint supplier so I sanded it back down and painted it again the finish was great but the sparkly bits were not so great 🙄

was honking to myself I ant sanding it down again I just want to get it back on my car I satin laquered it this went. Horribly wrong for a couple reasons

1) satin is definitely not the finish 😂

2) it was the worst finish I’ve ever seen all blotchy spatty etc

3) in order to see what a Matt finish would look like I took an aerial of Matt laquer and sprayed it in an area and it reacted with the original paint causing it to shrivel up like a ball bag on a cold day

 

had to sand it down again and request it again his time with a Matt laquer is his didnt go well either

1) blotchy

2) runs

3) really awful finish

 

I found out a few things about laquer this week so my bad

rubbed the spoiler back down again getting really fed up with this process now and I sprayed it again last night

the finish is way better than previous attempts but it’s still not perfect in a couple areas but I will worry about that later in and see if I can do a smart repair in those areas …

anyway here are some pics I have new genuine edition decals to go back on as well not fitted yet

Fitted the new spoiler today along with the 3rd red brake light wanted to do this mod for a while but just never got round to it , I prefer it as it matches the red  rears
