RDU Oil Change

£200 is cheap tho….. I cant buy gear oil, additive, PTU & RDU oil for £40… Unless I’m looking in the wrong places? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes Ford charge over £500 to change the gearbox oil put oil and rdu oil

 

we charge £200

for 2 litres of gear box oil

1 litre of ptu oil

1 litre of rdu oil

this includes the labour to carry out the job

 

to add if the vehicle is already in with us for other works this offered at a discounted rate of £150 as the car is already here and working on it

 

and to also add I have covered well over 50,000 miles in my car now and most of it covered in track mode( I only ever drive in track mode) the dash never once has told me to change the oil

the hand book states change oil after 500 miles of track use.

@white-rs2 you need 3 types of oil tho and additive?

Gearbox & PTU standard oil from most manufacturers- should meet ford spec, RDU oil+additive or redline oil already has additive in it, think there are other makes that say thier oil is ok for RDU.

Nateodog price of £200 or £150 if car is already in, is a very good price, the 3 oils cost just over £70 from opie oils(price last year).

GM, just had a search and cheapest I could find is £66.30 for all 3 oils from opie(out of stock of castrol FE75, £24.25 1 ltr RDU oil delivered )&eurocarparts (£42.05 for 2ltr FE75+ 1ltr PTU oil, collection)with applying discount codes

@1234enough thanks for that 👍 I have sent a mail to the ford guy i get all my bits off, to see what it would cost for all OEM including additive. I’ll post costs when i get them back….

If you spec the right oil you don’t need the additive

 

x2 different types of oil lsd or non lsd

if you are a first time buyer then it’s cheaper to use opie after that it’s normal trade price
