    Iceland

    The climate in Iceland in january is very bad across the board.
    Snowfall and overcast skies are what characterize the climate throughout January in Iceland. It is cold and the sun only appears for four hours! However, southern Iceland is favored when compared to the northern countries because it is possible to benefit from cloud thinnings.

    JANUARY IN REYKJAVIK AND SOUTH-WESTERN ICELAND
    The first weeks of the month provide a mild climate and one can indeed have some sun during the hours of its appearance. Then the climatic conditions deteriorate and one will have snow in mid-January. Towards the end of the month, expect fine rains that still favor the feeling of freshness.

    JANUARY IN AKUREYRI AND NORTHERN ICELAND
    With temperatures down to around -5° C, the atmosphere in the Akureyri region is frosty – the weather in Iceland throughout January is sullen: snowfall rivals the frequency of fog. Thus, the wearing of warm clothes is of great importance to feel comfortable.

    The current forecast for January is cold and wet …. I’ll have another look next week 👍

    @GM, I’ve been keeping an eye on it and it’s looking likely to get heavy snow storms within the next couple of weeks. I will have a look into it and let you know. 😺👍

    PS Are you sure it not the supermarket you’re booked in to 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    @gary1234,

    The Caribbean in January offers ideal weather for a winter beach vacation. You can expect warm and dry weather throughout the islands.

    Temperature
    January is the coolest month of the year for most of the Caribbean. That’s not saying much, because temperatures there vary so little from season to season. Daytime highs are typically comfortably hot, while the nights remain warm. With winter settled in, temperatures across the region follow a gradient from north to south. The coolest weather is in the north, the Bahamas, while the hottest days are on the southernmost island of Trinidad. Ocean temperatures in January range on average from 77 degrees Fahrenheit around the Bahamas and Puerto Rico to 79 °F around islands farther south.

    Rainfall
    The Caribbean’s dry season begins in January. This normally is the driest month of the year for Kingston, Jamaica and Nassau. Generally speaking, you can expect January temperatures in the Caribbean to average a low of about 72 degrees Fahrenheit and a high of about 82 degrees, but beach weather is not guaranteed since the Caribbean receives an average of 11 days of rain per month and temperatures can be a bit on the cool side. Ultimately, it’s more reasonable to expect sunshine and warm weather than sweltering days where you’ll need a dip in the ocean to cool off, especially on islands like Bermuda that are in the Atlantic Ocean instead of in the Caribbean Sea.
